Dr. Spalla has been in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area for more than a decade in both private practice and academics. Dr. Spalla was integral in the growth of the Division of Otolaryngology at Cooper University and its creation of the latest otolaryngology residency in the entire country in more than a decade.
Dr. Spalla has a strong background in teaching and was a curriculum developer for Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and continues to lecture nationally on topics in facial plastic surgery and otolaryngology. Additionally, Dr. Spalla has published more than a dozen papers, has written several chapters, and even co-authored a textbook on facial plastic and reconstructive surgery (available on Amazon). He brings this passion for education to his patient encounters and fosters the concept of shared decision making with all of his patients. Patient empowerment is a core tenet of his practice.
Patient safety is extremely important to Dr. Spalla’s practice and through his years as a medicolegal consultant for law firms across the country, he has learned invaluable ways to minimize risks to his patients while producing great outcomes.
By leaving academics and creating his own practice, Dr. Spalla seeks to bring his signature background and stylistic touch back to Philadelphia. Dr. Spalla performs a broad range of both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures within facial plastic surgery. With regards to aesthetic procedures, Dr. Spalla performs such things as: lifts (brow, face, neck, lip), blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, facial implants, laser resurfacing, chemical peels, Botox, and fillers. He carries this aesthetic touch to reconstructive procedures as well such as: septoplasty, functional rhinoplasty, facial trauma, Mohs (skin cancer) repair, and scar revision.
Philadelphia Facial Plastic Surgery & Medspa is thrilled to introduce Michael Razzano as our aesthetician. Michael was gracious enough to relocate from Albany, New York where he has been honing his skills as a licensed facial aesthetician. Michael brings seven years of customer service experience with him to deliver a warm and personalized touch. With a passion for results-driven aesthetics, Michael holds certifications in: Dermaplaning, Chemical Peels, Microcurrent, Microdermabrasion, and Microneedling. In December 2021, the popular skincare line Dermalogica® certified him as an Expert. Michael has a particular passion to help patients with acne and is a certified acne specialist through Face Reality™ where he proven himself to successfully implement and run an acne bootcamp program to treat several types of acne, including more severe cases.
